Features– That brings us to the final consideration- the features. You can get a bare bones simulator that only does the basics, but you’ll get more mileage out of a fully featured simulator. One that can simulate different weather conditions or even allow you to play a virtual facsimile of actual golf courses will give you a lot more assistance than one that is decidedly simpler.

This device performs very well considering the price compared to multi-thousand dollar launch monitors. It's extremely easy to use and carry in my bag. I had a problem with it when it first arrived and called Voice Caddy. They were available on the phone, listened to my problem and asked me to send the unit to them. Within hours of them getting the unit, they identified the problem, phoned to tell me about it and shipped it back to me. Not every product is going to work 100% of the time out of the box, it's how the company responds that is important. Voice Caddy did a great job responding.
If you are just looking to have fun and play some golf, just about any simulator will do the job. But if you want to improve your game and get good stats, feedback, and improve your game, then do your research and buy a simulator that fits your needs. If you are just starting out and trying to learn the fundamentals each “device” has its place and time in your journey through your golf game as it evolves also. So as with anything as Tom said earlier, you get what you pay for, and be realistic in your expectations for each device. The pros use simulators that cost over $100,000 to help their game, but they also use something as simple as towel under their arm during simple drills to help them with a swing thought. So throwing money at your swing won’t make you better, you have to practice and learn this game to get better. Once you understand your swing, grip and stance, then you can start on the other 1,000 tweaks to make your game better. So before you make a big investment in a simulator, make sure you are getting what you want: Recreation or Improvement.
Accuracy of Measurement: Comprehensive measurements are critical, but the accuracy of these measurements is equally important. HD Golf™ Simulators measure with supreme accuracy. For example, we measure club face angle contact to within 1/10th of 1 degree. We also measure ball spin to within +/- 100rpm while competitor systems estimate (“calculate”) spin.
This is the most crucial piece of the puzzle for your home golf simulator. The actual sensor system you choose will have an enormous impact on your experience. After speaking with Cory, I came to understand that there are endless variables. It all depends on the kind of golfer you are, your budget, the size of your room, how important accuracy is to you, and a host of other factors.

The OptiShot comes with a one inch high by approximately one foot long hitting surface where the actual ball striking occurs but it doesn’t give a realistic golf feel swinging up on a ball.  For this reason, most opt purchase a golf mat to inlay the OptiShot striking surface and bring their body up to the same level as the hitting green.  A quality 3 ft x 5 ft golf mat will set you back around $70.  You can either cut out a spot on the mat where your OptiShot will go or you can set the OptiShot alongside the mat if you don’t want to do any alterations.
I work part time as an IT security consultant. Luckily I can work from anywhere so I go back and forth between Colorado and Florida. I get my fix of skiing, hiking and camping in Colorado in the Dillion area, and when I am in Florida you can usually find me on the water either paddleboarding or kayaking. My recent passion is scuba diving, I got certified a few years ago and "get wet" as frequently as I can.
The Fairway Pro is unlike any other golf practice aid. It is a revolutionary golf mat that works based on a patented technology which allows the mat to slide forward in the direction of your swing, so as to simulate the process of carving out a divot on real turf. This makes it much more accurate than conventional golf mats. With traditional golf mats, unless you invest in a soft silicon-based mat of exceptionally high quality, which of course will be very pricey as well, you do not get an accurate feel of real grass. These golf mats have significantly lesser give than real grass. As a result, the club, when swung, tends to bounce off the mat on impact. The force of the impact relays back at you, into the player’s wrist and elbow, while the ball receives much less momentum than it should have.
The hardest part about setting up your golf simulator will finding a the right space.  A common area of space that many home simulators use is 10 feet wide by 15 feet long by 10 feet high.  The minimum code for basement ceiling height is 7 feet and the OptiShot simulator recommends at least 8.5 feet—we recommend even more height than that if you plan on swinging your driver in the simulator.  With that said, generally speaking the best spot for setting up your home golf simulator will be in the garage.
The Tittle X Golf Simulator air flow pack comes with the Title X swing analyzer device, a swing stick, a safety stick, and 12 TruGolf E6 fantasy courses, powered by the TruGolf E6 software that is installed on your computer, supported by your smartphone or smart device via Bluetooth. To use it you simply have to mount your Title X device on to your swing stick or your golf club and pair it with the E6 software on your computer. Meanwhile, the Title X sensor will allow the software to show you how it would look in real life by sharing the precise information of your swing with the software. The product is sized specifically to suit indoor environments and provides you with the freedom to practice your swings regardless of the weather conditions outside.

We invented revolutionary image processing software to combine high-resolution digital-images, satellite data and geophysical data into 3D models. We are the only manufacturer to use this method and real course data.  HD Golf™ transports you to the world’s most exceptional golf courses – it’s like being there. All other simulator manufacturers use conventional 3D graphics and artist renderings, which look like a video game, not the actual course.

If you've ever played on one before, you've probably asked yourself how much does a golf simulator cost? You might be surprised to find that it is possible to create an affordable home golf simulator for under $5,000. While you will get the best bang for your buck in the $5,000 to $10,000 tier, here are some of our favorite budget golf simulator options under $5,000.

I am beginner golfer, only playing 3 months. i got this to save on going to the driving range constantly. I have only used it twice. I can say it is not only is it fun to be able to go out an hit anytime I want, i have probably saved over $60 in driving fees. 2 more times and the net will have paid for itself. The net and mat combo is great for beginners like me. I can hit until I drop. They are both well made, and heavier constructed that I thought. It is well worth the cost to get something that is life time warrantied. Don't' save money on the cheaper ones. Get this. You won't regret it

We strongly suggest staying away from the very inexpensive (under $100) or “mini” projectors that seem to be popping up everywhere.  The reason for this being that most cheap projectors lack the brightness (measured in lumens) needed to display a good picture in anything brighter than complete darkness.  Remember, the brighter you want your simulator bay the stronger you need your projector to be.  After all, no one wants to swing in the dark!
I couldn’t possibly give you a straight answer which system is right for you, which is why working with a company who knows what they are doing can be of great benefit. A lot of golfers will purchase home golf simulators without really understanding how they will perform, and find themselves disappointed after spending several thousand dollars when they were hoping for something more.
You can now purchase launch monitors from Foresight, Trackman, and Flightscope. Additionally, there are more premium packages from high-end home golf simulator companies like Full Swing Golf, SwingTrack and TRU GOLF. At these levels, you can expect to get much more accuracy concerning ball flight as well as your swing information. Additionally, the simulation software becomes much more robust.
Feedback– A golf simulator can only help you determine how well you are doing if it provides adequate feedback. If the golf simulator tells you how far you are hitting, how close to the mark you are, what your ball speed is and other pertinent information, then you can use that to improve your game and change the way you swing for the better. Without that kind of information, though, you’ll be training somewhat blindly, not sure if you need to make changes to become better.
“The High Definition Golf simulator is truly the most accurate technology for indoor golf I’ve come across. Not only do I love the simulator accuracy, the image quality is spectacular, beyond the great technology it’s a wonderful way to spend time improving your golf game or sharing time with friends and family. With the video swing analysis and the new shaft flex module, I believe indoor golf lessons with a golf professional and the HD Golf simulator to be unparalleled.”
This is the latest improved OptiShot model, called Optishot2. With this new product, the performance has been significantly improved. This model will accurately track the golf ball throughout the golf swing with its improved sensor technology, which includes effective 48Mhz infrared sensors. The sensors were designed to track the position of the club’s head before impact, at impact, and after impact.
